The cloud platform and app survived under a separate software entity, which in mid-2026 moved to a freemium model: the free tier now covers local-network access only, while remote access, historic data, API access and automatic optimisation sit in a £4.99/month Premium tier.

No. The cloud platform and app continue to run under the software business that survived the manufacturer’s administration. What changed in 2026 is the pricing: remote access, historic data, API access and automatic optimisation moved into a £4.99/month Premium tier, and the free tier now covers local-network access only.
The hardware manufacturer entered administration in April 2026, and manufacturer warranties are generally not honoured after administration unless another company buys the obligations. Check any correspondence from the administrators, and talk to your installer — some installers are covering workmanship issues themselves. Your consumer rights against the installer who sold you the system may also still apply.
Your inverter and battery keep generating, storing and powering your home without any cloud — that all happens locally. What you would lose is remote monitoring, history, and remote control. That is exactly the dependency Suntide is built to remove: cloud-independent local monitoring via the Suntide Link is in development.
Today, yes — Suntide connects through the GivEnergy API, which sits in their Premium tier and explicitly permits third-party integrations. Suntide detects this during setup and says so plainly. The Suntide Link will provide a local connection that removes that requirement: one subscription, not two.
